| High-end Pristina North first of its kind in Cebu AFTER years of “extensive” market studies, Aboitizland has launched its new high-end real-estate project—Pristina North. According to Aboitiz-land chief operating officer Andoni Aboitiz, Prisitina North is the first development of its kind in Cebu. “This will be the first upscale integrated community. The community is inspired by the principles of new urbanism—a growing architectural movement that combines the best of the past with the realities and modern convenience. “It’s like creating a rural community, wherein the church, retail areas and recreation areas are within walking distance from one’s home, in an urban area,” he told a press conference at Shangri-La’s Mactan Island Resort last weekend. The P400-million community to be established on a 32.5-hectare lot in Talamban, Cebu City will have four components—residential, retail and entertainment, office park and village center. The project will follow a 10-year development master plan. Aboitizland vice president for marketing Gladys Ceniza said the first phase of the project—the residential area—will be ready five years from now, but Aboitizland will start selling it next month. Proof She said proof of the project’s quality is that the Aboitizes themselves will live in the community. Aboitizland chief executive officer Roberto Aboitiz said Aboitizland’s new project is a manifestation of the firm’s continued commitment to the Cebuano community. “We feel that the best way to help the community and the country is to continue our programs despite the crises,” he said. Roberto assured buyers of the investment potential of buying houses and lots from Aboitizland. He cited the increase in the lot price of one of its high-end projects, North Town Homes, which was sold at P800 per square meter. Ten years later, it is now worth P8,000 per square meter. The lots at Pristina North will be sold for at least P6,000 per square meter. Aboitizland’s other high-end residential projects are North Town Residences and North Town Woods. |
