| Cebu Business Park to get facelift: TO mark its 15th anniversary, Cebu Holdings Inc. (CHI) is planning to give its business district project, the Cebu Business Park (CBP), a facelift. Ver dela Cerna, CHI customer affairs manager, told Sun.Star that facelift programs are currently being finalized. “This includes a distinguishing structure at the main entrances to the CBP.” “Another distinction now starting to be implemented is the strict enforcement of traffic and parking regulations. Our security guards are not only deputized by the Citom (Cebu City Traffic Operations Management) but also the Land Transportation Office,” he said. Dela Cerna explained that the main purpose of the facelift is to distinguish the business park from the rest of the areas in the city. “We would like the public to feel they are inside a high-growth zone when inside the CBP,” he said. CHI president Rene Almendras added that the establishment of the PUJ/V-hire terminal and the renovation of two Ayala Center Cebu cinemas and the food court were among the other improvements being made as CHI moves to enhance its position in the real property market. Almendras also revealed that from the previous logo colors of blue and gray, CHI is now sporting more revitalized corporate colors. “After 15 years, we are shifting gears. The new corporate colors—yellow ochre and forest green—explicitly express the company’s commitment to the environment.” CHI is an affiliate of Ayala Land Inc. Ayala Land’s net profit rose 10 percent in the third quarter of the year to P604 million from the same period a year ago. Its profit for the first nine months of the year grew 5.5 percent to P1.71 billion. |
